Martin helps people realize their athletic dreams. Often, this also leads to the achievement of many other goals in life. Athletes grow not only as athletes, but also as people. It’s all about a passion for the sport. What could be better than being outdoors in nature, feeling the water in a lake, feeling the wind in your hair as you cycle downhill, or running over hill and dale in a hilly forest and experiencing God’s wonders? Since 1985, sport has been more than just a word – it has been a passion in Martin’s life. Martin’s boundless energy has always been best channeled through this outlet, which his mother was particularly grateful for. After trying his hand at many different sports, including soccer, tennis, water polo, gymnastics, and many others, he discovered endurance sports more than 20 years ago. The decisive factor was his uncle, whom he watched running – in the truest sense of the word – and thought to himself, “Impossible… how can one person run so fast on their own?”

Spurred on by the impossible, he made it possible and has been trying ever since to go one step further, read one more book, and complete one more unit more often than others. Running turned into swimming and cycling. The three sports together became triathlon. From initial experiments with equipment and routes, coupled with the ever-present pursuit of professionalism, the person Martin is today developed more and more.

For me, triathlon is the most beautiful thing in the world, teaching me to remain humble, to persistently pursue my goals, and above all to experience adventures around the world with joy and enthusiasm.
